Sad to report, poor service all the way around. When my daughter-in-law told me about her meeting with the baker to discuss her wedding cake. It was the first RED flag. FIRST - she showed up late, SECOND - They were told that there would be samples to test, THERE WAS NONE. THIRD - She was unprofessional and seemed to be in a hurry. I had a feeling that perhaps they may want to find someone else, but because of My Daughter-in-law good heart and belief that everyone deserves a bad day, she over looked it.... Well that one bad day rolled into the wedding day. Delivered LATE (of course) Poor quality cupcakes, and cowardly service. Everyone has a bad day, I understand, if there was a reason for such poor service, I apologize, and she should be apologizing to the bride and groom with a huge refund.

Laura contacted me after I registered for a bridal show. I was excited because her photos were wonderful and she was willing to negotiate with me on the price. There were definitely some major problems with my service, but I will make a pro/con list. Pros: -Reasonable Prices -She sent a nice thank-you note after our initial meeting, which was a nice personal touch -Nice and flexible and had a ton of examples of her work to show me -Owned up to her mistakes and offered me a very good refund -Was able to make gluten-free cupcakes for 3 members of my family who are unable to eat gluten -The cake and cupcakes tasted wonderful -Made an adorable Mario Bros theme cake for us Cons: -When I showed up for my tasting, she did not have any cake/cupcakes for me to taste -Was 3 hours late for the agreed-upon delivery time. This wouldn't have been a big deal if we were just serving the cupcakes after dinner, but they were the centerpieces, so my guests arrived to empty centerpieces, which was extremely embarrassing -Cupcakes and cake were not indicative of the work she had shown me. The cupcakes were sloppy and appeared to have been rushed. The tiny 2-tier cake was leaning and fondant/frosting was smudged. -Did not bring the sweets tray we were promised I do not believe that Laura is normally like this. I do not believe her product is normally the way it was when presented to me. I am still not exactly sure what happened, but I do think that I just happened to be the one she let fall through the cracks. I think that normally she provides a great product and a great service, and that unfortunately for me, she had an off day. The biggest thing that I can take away from this whole thing is that, in the end, Laura did the right thing by giving me nearly all of my money back. It would have been impossible to stand behind the product and service I received, and instead of arguing with me, she ultimately did what was right. Overall, I would recommend Simply Sweets provided that Laura does not let something like this happen again.

Absolutely the worst I have ever seen.. I am my future husband met with her and we saw some red flags, messing up the taste testing for us.. and even after the contract we signed.. She losts her copy so we had to tell her what we agreed on.. She showed up late still pipeing frosting on the cake. It looked like something a 10 year old could do.. She then ran off before we could see it ..We were so upset ..It is the only thing I regret about our wedding.. I am surprising my husband on our first anniversary with someone who can redo our cake the way we wanted.. We will never get back our day..I cried for a long time about this.. She has never gotten back to me.. We still have her silver cake plate she provided.. We are keeping it for a refund payment... Stay away from this lady if you want even a decent cake on your special day...

We were so pleased with the cakes Simply Sweets did for us-a 4 tier wedding cake and a 3D tractor grooms cake. The cakes were beautiful and delicious! Our wedding guests are still talking about how much they loved our wedding cakes 5 months after our event. We highly recommend Simply Sweets to anyone in need of a wedding cake; they were so creative, flexible, and professional and a pleasure to work with.

Our wedding cake was delicious as well as beautiful and we loved the chocolate covered strawberries!!! Our wedding guests raved about the cake, and our friends and family STILL talk about how good the cake was!! I love that you provide so many flavors, many of which other bakeries do not, and that you were willing to create a flavor combination that you didn't have listed..just for us! And the BEST part, was the price. You saved us a lot of money without sacrificing quality. I highly recommend Simply Sweets for any of your baking needs!!!

We brought in a picture of what we wanted and she made it happen! Looked great, tasted great, Great price!

Laura was amazing! Our wedding cakes (both bridal and groom's cake) were delicious and everyone at the reception raved about them. We can't wait to eat them again on our 1 year anniversary!

I didn't get a wedding cake from Simply Sweets, I ordered cupcakes for my sisters 21st birthday and they were amazing! The were covered with black and pink fondant with 21's and chanel C's. Everyone raved about them!

our product was amazing and the service perfect! We had several people attending our event ask for the name of the cake maker. Will will use simply sweets for every cake needed occasion going forward. Wonderful!!!!!!

I had searched everywhere in the Geneva area to find someone who would provide homemade cupcakes and cookies for my wedding. Most places I found only offered pastries and batch bought cookies, and I was beginning to give up hope until Simply Sweets Bakery saved the day! From one look at their website, I fell in love! Just some of the items that I had catered included the chocolate dipped marshmallows, chocolate dipped strawberries, custom decorated cookies, and custom decorated cupcakes. They also provide wedding cakes, but unfortunately I had already ordered this from another vendor, but they looked fantastic. Laura made planning an out of state wedding a lot easier, communication was a breeze and she quite literally catered to my every need. I would absolutely reccommend Simply Sweets Bakery to cater for any occassion...my guests loved it and it helped make my day that little more extra special. I hope to work with Laura again in the future!

simply sweets bakery was wonderful on time beautiful and the cake tasted so good. it was so good everyone wanted more and it was so perfect. i could barely make up my mind of what i wanted but simply sweets really got me and just new exactly what i wanted. i wouldnt of chosen any other bakery
